“Safety was at risk when the gears switched to neutral while I was driving in car with my children. A recall was completed when bought car was not aware of fuel pumps recall issue. Says completed repair but the car is still having issues and was sold to me without telling me about the recall. First appeared about a week ago. Making a ticking noise, losing power when accelerating.”
NHTSA complaint #11633770, filed 2025-01“I was driving back to my house in york, PA. My car all the sudden changed the gear from “D” to “N”. My gas meter was showing 106 miles. my didn’t give sign or alert before it shifted the gear from D to N. I was driving on highway and this was major safety concern as I could have hit by cars coming on highway speed. We had this similar incident last year as well but we were at traffic light stopped so we didn’t realize that time that car shift the grear by itself. …”
NHTSA complaint #11731548, filed 2026-04“The car randomly shows an empty tank of gas at the start of the day, when there was a half tank of gas remaining. I filled the gas, but the car did not register any fuel-up and kept showing empty. I took it to the dealer for repair and the fuel tank sensor was replaced under warranty a month ago. Now, this week the same issue reappeared. The car began showing no gas in the tank on a random morning last week and remained driveable for a couple of days. The gas levels reappeared corrected on day #3. …”
NHTSA complaint #11569909, filed 2024-02“My 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 has been diagnosed with a valve seat failure. This requires a full cylinder head replacement. I purchased this vehicle brand new and have driven it with care, putting approximately 60,000 mostly highway miles on it. Throughout my ownership, I have exclusively used the service at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. Despite my efforts to maintain this vehicle properly, the vehicle began exhibiting misfire issues just outside of the warranty period. The check engine light would flash on and off during a misfire and it presented multiple codes. …”
NHTSA complaint #11667722, filed 2025-06“Vehicle loses power, my vehicle stop on the highway going 55 miles per hour, I came very close to being rear ended. My vehicle consumes excessive fuel, the vehicle quicks back upon acceleration. This causes a great concern as I used my vehicle for work. I attempted to have the dealer resolve this and I was told that there was nothing they could do. However, this faulty performance might cause a traffic accident and I could also involve the life of myself or another individual in the vicinity of my vehicle. The vehicle also has a late start which is also a problem while driving. …”
