“Per an e-mail sent to daimler ag-mercedes, I have a 2007 ML350 with only 66,000 miles which is not safe to drive as the car is not shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. The facts are: there have been many instances, reports, & complaints to mercedes where this has happened. It is not safe & the mercedes car should be recalled for repair.it should not be occurring at all especially with only 66,000 miles. Car has been taken to the sarasota, fl mercedes dealer. Cost is $1,700 which should be covered & corrected by mercedes. …”
NHTSA complaint #10552012, filed 2013-11, 66,000 miles“The contact stated while idling at an intersection with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated and crashed into the vehicle in front creating a chain reaction of four vehicles. There were no warning lights illuminated prior to the incident. The police was present, and a report was taken. There was one person injured from another vehicle involved in the accident who was evacuated in an ambulance. The vehicle was towed to the dealership. The contact believed the incident was caused by a brake failure. Updated 01/29/07.”
