“First the driver window went out, passanger, and then the back and the locks go off when ever they want. My call has low miles for the year and it should not be acting this way. If I eould get into an accident I couldnt get out of my window if door didnt open and I know lots of people with the same car and having the same problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10235492, filed 2008-07, 42,000 miles“This regards a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, and a safety related issue that cannot be repaired by the car dealership. The driver side automatic/passive door lock, will not allow the driver side door to open at all. In the case of an emergency, there would no way to escape the vehicle. The ford/Mercury dealership could not fix/repair the vehicle, and sent it back unrepaired. The driver's door is locked - and cannot be opened with the key, switch or remote control. …”
