“My car, on 4-5 occasions now, has lost all power while traveling on the freeway at about 80 miles per hour. I called ford because of the electronic throttle body customer satisfaction program and my vehicle does not qualify because of the assembly plant that the car was built at. I can attest that my vehicle is doing the same exact thing that is described in the accounts of the problem with the throttle - without question. I urge you to expand the program that ford is being required to do for this massive (over 1 million vehicle) problem. …”
NHTSA complaint #10641710, filed 2014-10, 148,000 miles“Vehicle loses all ability to control the throttle both while at highway speed and when pulling away from a stop. Wrench fault indicator on the dashboard illuminates. Restarting the vehicle restores normal operating conditions until the issue reappears. There is no fault code on obdii reader after restarting the engine.”
NHTSA complaint #10679147, filed 2015-01, 75,000 miles“While driving down the road, all of the warning lights on the dash board came on and then the breaks failed. We were able to get to safety after going off the road. When taken into the ford motor company repair shop they reset the codes and said everything was fine, no parts to repair. Less than 50 miles later, the same thing happened again injuring 3! This time it's the ABS module. After calling the ford motor company, they refuse to admit there is any problem and no reason for a recall. …”
