“Compressor bearing failed at 53,000 miles and again at 105,500. $1800 for first repair. This seems to be a recurring problem. I can understand a component failing, but I've never had an air conditioning compressor fail twice! 50k miles average life expectancy is horrible! Have others complained, or do I have a unique situation? Could the drive belt not be in proper alignment, causing undo stress on the pulley bearings? Do I have any recourse?”
