“Antilock brake malfunctioned on several occasions when there was need to brake suddenly resulting in several near crashes. When brake was applied grinding noise heard and then anti lock brake light came on and remained on. This has occurred too often and Mitsubishi needs to recall this model and fix it. The latest incident occurred on august 5, 2007, but there have been several instances of this happening before.”
NHTSA complaint #10199483, filed 2007-08, 109,000 miles“Ball joint damage is due to bad boots. I would like to have these ex-rayed to prove their incompetance to do their job protecting the ball jts. The misalignment, pinching, hairline cracks or holes have caused the destruction on the control arms and ball jts. These problems put strain on the brake system thus causing rotors to warp and wear out. I would like all documentation on all galants with these problems and their results (20 susp., 25 brake, & 17 power train on your complaint issuance via net). I would like all other complaint data via telcons or written complaints in these matters. …”
