“I've had this 2002 Mitsubishi Galant for a number of years and have always had a problem with the lights. They don't shine bright enough to clearly see the road ahead. It is a constant problem. I thought it was just a problem with my car, but it seems like other people have had the same problem.”

NHTSA complaint #11233978, filed 2019-07, 80,000 miles

“Instrument panel lights don't come on. Fuses all ok, switches ok, reostat ok. Could be bulbs behind instrument panel - or circuit board. Can't drive at night -can't see the instrument panel. Interior lights ok. Blinker lights ok but won't turn off after making turn. Can't get information from Mitsubishi on what it may be.”

NHTSA complaint #10651321, filed 2014-10, 105,000 miles

“I have a 2002 Galant, it was the first brand new car I bought for myself, the brakes squeaked the first day I've had to get the breaks done twice already and it only has 64,000 miles I've also gone through 2 sets of tires I'm about to buy new tires this week. In the last 2 months I've noticed it drives a lot harder now, there's odd noises coming out of the engine and it sounds like something is rubbing on the front tires when I drive. It pulls to the left really bad when I brake. If it's idling it sounds like it's struggling for air and shakes a little. …”
