“I have had this issue since june 2019. The car was taken to be serviced 4 times for a major leak with a crazy rattle noise on the passenger side when you drive the car with the AC on. Eventually they replaced the AC assembly. However, it still makes the rattling noise from the area the leak was coming from. I purchased the vehicle brand new in 2017. Total disappointment.”
NHTSA complaint #11338245, filed 2020-07, 27,000 miles“Every two or 3 weeks I have to jump the truck to get it started even put a new battery in it....I have brought it to the mechanic and brought it to the Mitsubishi car dealer to diagnose the problem and couldnt find any..it gets very annoying to see if the truck is going to start or I could be stranded somewhere ..I bought the truck in july and it has installed a new battery and the dealer cannot diagnose the problem.....the truck has only 37,000 miles”
NHTSA complaint #11289331, filed 2019-12, 37,000 miles“Glass spontaneously crumbled and shattered on rear passenger door. The vehicle was parked at home in my driveway. We were getting into the vehicle as usual in the morning to leave for the day. The door was not slammed, there were no visible cracks, scratches, or chips on the glass. No visible damage to the vehicle or blunt objects in the area that would indicate foul play. We could not find anything that would explain such a random breaking of the glass. My daughter sustained minor cuts on her leg from the glass falling into the rear passenger seat. …”
NHTSA complaint #11090085, filed 2018-04, 11,400 miles“I have had the vehicle for only a little over a year (bought it march of 2018 with only 12,046 miles). Since I have had the vehicle, I have had to replace the headlight bulb on the passenger side a total of 4 times and a total of 3 times on the driver side (which is currently blown now, which will make a total of 4 times once I replace it). Once I replace the bulb one side, the bulb goes out on the other side about a week later. A couple of times I have thought a bulb would go out, and it would start working again. I was advised that maybe it was condensation, but there is no condensation. …”
NHTSA complaint #11229797, filed 2019-07, 14,000 miles“Failure of driver side exterior mirror. 3 years after purchase of vehicle the mirror would no longer move in and out. Dealer replaced with OEM quality mirror July 2021. 2 years later (August 2023)mirror now has the exact same malfunction/defect. Mitsubishi is unable to tell me why the failure happened in the first place or why it has again happened. Mitsubishi refuses to take any action to fully rectify this issue. They only suggest again replacing the mirror. …”
