“As far as the engine, I received two different dashboard notification icons about engine issues. However, they both disappeared suddenly. Now, my car is starting to stall at random times. I looked to see if my car had a recall and it says my vehicle was not effected. But I'm wondering if it as. Also, my front collision warning is malfunctioning. There is a malfunction warning label on the dashboard.”

NHTSA complaint #11615161, filed 2024-09

“Vehicle has 12,000 miles. I was driving about to take trip and got a warning engine malfunction power reduced service now. Got to dealership, they think its a software issue. Seriously scared me and it could be software. Awaiting dealership to confirm. Visibility with visors down is extremely limited. Can't drive with visors.”

NHTSA complaint #11482494, filed 2022-09

“I have a coolant leak with my EGR cooler. The part is on back order for 90 days. Clearly the EGR cooler is being replaced on these cars on a regular so there must be a defect if I can’t get my vehicle fixed for 90 days or more”

NHTSA complaint #11679010, filed 2025-08

“Back in October 2021 the vehicle in question stopped functioning while driving with our 12 year old and 10 months old baby in the back seat, a warning of engine malfunction showed up on the dashboard almost causing an accident. The vehicle was towed to the dealership and after a few days they didn't find anything. 5 months later and 7000 miles later we received the safety recall letter for what we believe is the same issue we had last year. …”

NHTSA complaint #11458387, filed 2022-03

“For the past 3 winters since I had this vehicle when it is cold outside the vehicle starts hard or will not start at all requiring a jump. It will not shift gears, or accelerate. The battery light comes on after the vehicle is running. I have called the local dealership and was told this happens when it is cold. I was told to bring the car in and let it sit there when it's cold so they can try and re create the problems they stated the battery is fine. As of today the vehicle started to leak oil after it started hard. …”
