“The 3rd gear was grinding then second started to grind too therefore I had the transmission rebuilt at my expense and other transmission problems persist and also have the tire feathering/tire growl issue which I've took the car varies times to the alignment shop.”

NHTSA complaint #10253910, filed 2009-01, 35,000 miles

“At 8,000 miles my font tires are worn due to the factory setting the toe-in to aggressively. Nissan dealer will not do anything since the car is just over 12 months old. So now I have to pay for new tires and wait for the next 8,000 miles until I have to buy new tires again. I love the z but Nissan should know they just lost a customer here.”

NHTSA complaint #10062641, filed 2004-03, 8,000 miles

“Tire feathering on my 2003 350Z after 10,000 miles. Brought in to be fixed by dealership at 13,000 miles. Still have problem and trying to get 2 new front tires with little luck at 18,000 miles. Inside of tires are feathering again and I'm think this will cause a major loss of traction, especially in rainy conditions.”

NHTSA complaint #10045365, filed 2003-11, 10,000 miles

“My 350Z had a terrible growl noise and vibrations coming from the front when braking. Tires were very feathered on the inside of the front two tires. Filed a complaint with nna and they had the dealer take the tires off the rims and swap the front tires. I don't think they fixed the issue just delayed the inevitable.”

NHTSA complaint #10042960, filed 2003-10, 7,000 miles

“I own a 2003 Nissan 350Z. I purchased the car on july 3rd, 2003. Since that purchase, the front tires have been feathering and all Nissan will do is pull the tires off and rotate the problem area to the outside of the wheel. Now the inside will start to feather thus creating the ride even rougher and more unstable. Not only is this causing excessive wear to the tires, but once rotated, it has increased the chance for a blowout even further. …”
