“2004 Nissan Altima. Consumer states vehicle stalled while driving*tgw the consumer stated there is still a major problem regarding the recall for the crank angle sensor and the reprogramming of the ECM. The consumer stated the crank sensor had to be replaced for the second time and the check engine light had illuminated on six separate occasions. The radiator was cracked and was leaking coolant. The passenger side mirror was loose, the sun roof had a rattle and the drivers side window would go up, but at times it would come back down on its own. The dealer replaced the regulator motor. …”

“Windshield wipers on my Nissan Altima 04 have failed twice in the first 37,000 miles. I am currently in a dispute with Nissan to repair wipers. The first problem was blamed on motor, the second problem is supposedly a computer problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10150660, filed 2006-02

“A few problems here. I bought this vehicle brand new. From the second I took it off the lot the heat did not work. I bought this vehicle in november, do you think I was happy? So they fixed this problem on a brand new car. Then last year in 2004 my car decided it would not start at all. Turns out it was the starter that went and that had to be replaced on a vehicle that was only a year old. So because of this I had to have my car towed from my driveway to the dealership. Then the latch broke off on the center console inside the vehicle. I am not rough using it at all. …”

NHTSA complaint #10135250, filed 2005-09

“We bought a 2004 Nissan Altima, it has power windows, the power window on the driver side automatically goes up (closes) with a hit of a button and does not come down if there is a resistance, this is a safety concern because a child can hit that by accident while looking out, and can cause death, the windows should go down automatically but not up.”
