“Airbag light is on solid on dashboard symbol located in the middle shows airbag off on passenger side I was told my VIN is not listed on the recall list. This is a safety issue and needs to be resolved. Not after the fact if air bag may or may not deploy. I should not be charge for a diagnostic. When make, model and year has been recalled already.”

NHTSA complaint #11119622, filed 2018-08, 63,000 miles

“Airbag sensor doesn't work properly. While the car is in motion, the light turns on warning that the airbag will not deploy when a person is buckled in the passenger seat. My VIN is not included in the recall but I've noticed this issue for over a year. My Nissan dealership ignored my complaint a year ago when I asked them to look at it.”

NHTSA complaint #10863237, filed 2016-05, 15,000 miles

“Airbag light came on on the dashboard and is staying on. When an adult passengare sits in the passenger seat, the passenger airbag light does not turn off. This happened about a month ago. I have read several recalls for airbag sensor issue but my car is not listed. Dealership is tells me that there is no recall for the issue and that I have to pay to have it diagnosed and fixed. Car currently cannot pass stated inspection due to this.”

NHTSA complaint #11349056, filed 2020-08, 91,000 miles

“A recall was told to me that the passenger air bag light needed to be fixed. I brought my car to the Nissan dealership for them to do this recall. Once this recall was done, my airbag light came on, on my center dashboard, roughly a month later- car was stationary. I went to Nissan to assist with this issue for it seems related to past recall that was 'fixed.' more than myself have had this issue with the airbag dash light.”

NHTSA complaint #11270294, filed 2019-10, 65,000 miles

“This is the fourth time the passenger air bag sensor light came on with an adult in the seat. Nissan has attempted to fix it numerous time without success. I question whether the bag will go off in an accident. I was told by the local dealer that I should call corporate and recorded the complaint. They said they would get back to me.”
