Example complaints

Electrical system: “The car was purchased new from the Nissan dealer at the end of Dec 2024 with 100miles, and currently has 5,798 miles on the odometer. The 12v battery failed, unable to be charged and hold a charge, this disabled the the EV from starting and functioning. The EV lithium battery showed a charge capacity of 37%. …”

Fuel system: “While charging my vehicle, the charger failed to stop the charging session on command. I was unable to stop the charging session from the vehicle as well. NHTSA complaint #11650001, filed 2025-03

Transmission and drivetrain: “The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Ariya. The contact stated that after purchasing the vehicle, there was a whining and ringing sound coming from the vehicle. There was a grinding sound while making a hard turn. The dealer was contacted to return the vehicle. While driving, there was an abnormally loud bang. The vehicle suddenly decelerated from 80 MPH to zero while moving over, and a crash was avoided. There was a burning rubber odor coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the gear reduction was the cause of the failure. …”
