Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The power seat positioning of the driver/front passenger seat changes position on its own randomly (while driving, while parked with&without the engine running), and gives little positioning click sounds as it does it. This occurs more on some days than others, usually only with people sitting on the seat and only in small increments, but when I go manually change it back with the controllers on the side of the seat, it won't adjust until the person is out of the seat. This is an ongoing issue and happens almost daily. This has also been noticed by two passengers in the front passenger seat.”

NHTSA complaint #11193873, filed 2019-04, 154,500 miles

“I am having problems with the brakes . Have taken vehicle to the dealer 4 times, and problems have not been resolved. They still can't get to fix the problem. The window regulators broke twice. Also, seat back broke twice, but was repaired by dealer. Main problem are the brakes.”

NHTSA complaint #10121341, filed 2005-05, 3,000 miles

“Brake jutter, grinding, shaking when braking. Abs vdl slip brake lights up on dash--unable to turn off. Stopping vehicle and restarting corrects the problem sometimes; other times the light stays on. Brake pads originally replaced early after purchase in 2005 when the vehicle was still under warranty. The vehicle is rarely driven--there is approximately 36k miles on the vehicle--but the problem has been persistent over the years when driven. Lately, I have been driving the vehicle more often and the problem is continuing and it is more apparent that there is a problem with the vehicle brakes. …”

NHTSA complaint #10542986, filed 2013-09, 1,000 miles

“While driving at 35 MPH consumer applied the brakes and passenger who was seated on the front passenger seat almost hit the windshield. The seat belt didn't hold the passenger, consumer indicated the problem was the design of the front passenger seat. The dealership indicated to the consumer they received complaints every day on this issue, and they did not know how to fix it. The front passenger seat is set at a downward angle.”

NHTSA complaint #10089689, filed 2004-10

“The vehicle's home-link system failed. The consumer stated that the memory seats for the driver does not work. A vibrating noise was heard from the heat shield from the exhaust manifold. Vibrating noise heard from the interior courtesy light lens. The liner on the roof passenger liner is separating. Tire pressure sensor malfunctioned. Rotors warped on the front brakes as a result of inadequate size to the vehicle and inadequate venting which resulted in overheating. The consumer can not control the vehicle when braking from high speeds. …”
