“I own a 2006 Nissan Frontier, it was delivered with only half the keys programmed for the vehicle, a strange rattling of plastic shrouding in the engine compartment and as I found out a fast set of tires later, the front end out of alignment [ too much toe in ]. When I read the manual I found out that my 4wd vehicle was not intended to be used off of the road , this was not in any of the presales literature and the reason I buy 4wd is so I can use it off road. …”
NHTSA complaint #10244918, filed 2008-10, 36,100 miles“The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that fuel gauge did not work and she would have to periodically check the odometer to determine how much fuel was in the tank. She called the dealer and was referred to the manufacturer who advised her to file a complaint with NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The current mileage was approximately 70,000. Updated 6/1/10 the transmission was not acting properly and the air conditioner was not working. Updated 06/04/10.”

After fueling up my pickup, the check engine light comes on and gas gauge show empty and dte computer goes out. Being a component of the fuel system this can be dangerous. Any malfunction in a gas tank should warrant investigation and resolution.”
