Example complaints
Transmission and drivetrain: “2024 New Nissan Frontier Pro 4x was purchased on 07/10/2024. On 07/18/2024 I was driving on the freeway and exited coming to the cross street which I needed to make left hand turn on. I was behind one other vehicle, when the street signal turned green for our lane the vehicle in front made its lh turn I waited as another car approached and after it passed I started to make my left hand turn, I felt a hesitation on my speed like the transmission was slipping thinking this isn't right. …”
NHTSA complaint #11603560, filed 2024-07Brakes: “lighting is not sufficient for seeing far enough ahead on low beam and high beam is more like regular, when turning there is hardly any lighting within the turn making it dangerous in my opinion. i recommend slowing almost to stop before making a turn especially to the right.also i have had to get my right headlight repaired by nissan within the first 2 months of purchase in july and august of 2024. the right headlight went completely out both times. …”
NHTSA complaint #11698680, filed 2025-11Electrical system: “We have a fleet of 2023-2025 Nissan Frontiers. Starting in December of 2024 we began having problems with the vehicles electrical system going wild and shutting the trucks down. It causes all of the lights to come on and the truck to stall and not restart, We did not realize that we had a problem until it happened to multiple vehicles over the last several months. A few of them were brought to the dealership where we were told they could not find any problems and just replaced the batteries. So, when some of the others did it, we just replaced the batteries ourselves. …”
NHTSA complaint #11689417, filed 2025-09Fuel system: “I purchased this truck new. On many occasions while trying to accelerate from a stopped position there is a few second delay before the car will move. This in my opinion is a serious condition because when you think you can move into traffic the car won't move. This could cause a serious accident. I brought this to the attention of the nissan service center several times only to be told that it a characteristic of the transmission. In other words the transmission is searching for the right gear to engage before the car will move. …”
