“Vehicle started jerking and the RPM gauge was moving up and down while in motion. I had to keep breaking and pushing the gas as it would accelerate on it's own. We took it to get scanned at auto zone, scan said it's the transmission pressure sensor. Other Nissan vehicles have had this issue with their CVT transmission.”

“Was driving home and my speedometer began to act weird and raise and lower at a 45 MPH speed. Then it made a weird sound. On a take off it takes some time to accelerate or switch gears. There seemed like there was no power which was weird as this car is a turbo. After this happened the service engine soon light came on and the traction icon has come on and off repeatedly. Took my car to a local oreillys and a code came up when they hooked the machine to it. It came up with a p2263 code. …”

NHTSA complaint #11210404, filed 2019-05, 95,965 miles

“While driving my 2015 Nissan JUKE (70+ MPH) on the highway the CVT style transmission started acting strange. It would rev up and bottom out causing the vehicle to jerk/lurch a lot. At just under 90,000 miles the transmission had to be replaced. That still didn't fix the problem completely. The the intake manifold had to be replaced. At 90,000 miles there was leakage under the vehicle that appeared to be the awd transfer case. Took the vehicle back to Nissan service dept at 94,000 miles and was told I need the right front axle seal replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #11255902, filed 2019-09, 88,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while driving, the brake pedal was depressed and the brake pedal was stiff. The vehicle was vibrating. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed and it was determined that the transmission needed to be repaired. Additionally, coolant was leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The contact detected smoke coming from the steering wheel. While driving the vehicle stalled. …”
