“Transmission started slipping when I was getting on the Interstate. It was revving very loud but car would not move. I almost got hit from behind. This car is not even 3 years old. I am very concerned for my safety. I should still be in warranty for this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11651668, filed 2025-03

“While driving my son to school, traffic began slowing and then accelerating in front of me. I was driving approximately 40 mph when I took my foot off the accelerator to slow down. Before I had a chance to press the brake, the vehicle shifted into neutral on it own without the shift level being touch and a steady Malfunction Indicator Light came on. At this point the traffic began speeding up and I was unable to accelerate until I manually shifted the vehicle back into drive.”

NHTSA complaint #11616333, filed 2024-09

“I have had 2 major and one minor incident with my 2022 Pathfinder. I bought it certified preowned Jan 2023 with 21k miles. At 23k miles- end of the same month it was purchased- the vehicle decelerated from 75mph to 35mph on the interstate. The dealership sent a towing truck to pick it up next day and they diagnosed the problem to be a dead battery- the lights on the car remained on all night but if it was the battery then the car would have not even been on. Dealership failed to dig deeper. …”

NHTSA complaint #11592242, filed 2024-06

“While driving with the cruise control activated and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) turned on and also the ProPilot Assist and Speed Adjust by Route turned on, I have been on the highway (Speed limit 100km/h) and the vehicle reads the speed limit sign on the exit ramp (20km/h) and automatically reduces my speed even though I am not on the exit ramp. I have almost been hit from behind due to that sudden slow down. I have now turned some of those systems off until they come up with a software fix, very dangerous.”
