“Where to start.... Brakes; 65,000 miles and we're on the 4th set (we've replaced them 3 times)! Efi... Every 25,000 miles the throttle sticks and yes, we joined the class action. And the latest? The crossover pipe on the exhaust system broke, filling the cabin with exhaust... Engine parts should last longer.”
NHTSA complaint #10050648, filed 2003-12, 20,000 miles“My wife was driving our 1999 Nissan Quest on the interstate the first time the driver front brake locked up. She drove the vehicle to stones river Nissan of murfreesboro, tn where they replaced the brake calipers, hoses, rotors, and pads. The brake pads wore out after only 8k miles. Took the vehicle to a different shop to have a tire repaired and the pads replaced and the driver's front locked up again on the technician while road testing his repair. This shop insisted on replacing the driver front brake hose despite knowing it was relatively new. …”
NHTSA complaint #10273147, filed 2009-06, 101,000 miles“While driving vehicle at 30 MPH consumer pressed brake pedal and heard a loud popping sound. Brake pedal went to the floor, but vehicle would not stop until it came to rest on another vehicle. Dealer informed the consumer that the brake master cylinder blew off the brake booster.”
NHTSA complaint #10034213, filed 2003-08, 54,000 miles“Front brakes made a loud grinding noise when they were depressed. When this occurred the brakes ate the rotors. This was caused by the caliper sticking and not releasing. Dealership replaced rotors/calipers, but the problem recurred. Tsb 613461 dealt with this problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10050509, filed 2003-12, 30,000 miles“I have had to look into alignment probelms again and replace the brakes and the tires again. I also was told by the dealer that this was because of normal wearing of the cv joints and that my front axle was shot so I had to replace this too. I have had so much tire, tire valve, brake and front end trouble, it's ridiculous.”
