“I have had a continuing problem with the rear sliding doors on my new 2004 Nissan Quest. What started as an excessive amount of rattling of the rear doors has escalated to the point where the doors do not function properly. I've taken the Quest in to have the doors adjusted five times at the local Nissan dealer and the doors continue to rattle. …”
NHTSA complaint #10053280, filed 2004-01, 5,175 miles“I have a 2004 Nissan Quest, we have experienced numerous problems including the power sliding door opening at 60mph.(Nissan put in a rubber bumper on the door) the power drivers window wont go back up after using auto down(Nissan unable to find a problem) transmission starts off in 3rd gear from a stop almost causing accidents.(3rd time we have complained and hasn't been fixed yet(Nissan does not know why it is happening).”

During the trip, we noticed air infiltration from the passengers door and the right side sliding door. In addition to the air leaks, the right sliding door and the rear hatch rattled, sometimes constantly and other times when passing over irregularities in the pavement. I took the van to the dealer on numerous occasions and it still is not fixed. …”

The vehicle was taken in to the dealer service dept in aug 2004 for Nissan's customer satisfaction initiative which corresponds to TSB ntb04-053. This campaign was to install a door rattle kit fix in addition to 2 other issues. As a result of the door rattle kit fix installation, both of my sliding doors now rattle louder than the driver side door did to begin with.”

Specially for both of my young sons. - at his moment the car has been reported 2 times to the car dealer and the fix has been the additional lubrication of the door and cleaning of the contacts. …”
