“When driving the car suddenly loses power, and does not accelerate. If I am going up a hill or hump, the car will stall. At times, have to find an alternate route when driving because the car will fail to accelerate. I am afraid to travel on major highways where there are hill or elevated areas because the vehicle will suddenly not accelerate. I must drive sometimes with my hazard lights because the brake lights often fail to come on.”

NHTSA complaint #10538274, filed 2013-09, 48,000 miles

“Since april of 2011 (vehicle was 4 months old) I have had my car into Nissan for auto lights not functioning (not shutting off when in daylight), my ipod turns on when the audio is off and the electronic driver seat moves forward by itself. This has been reported and serviced more than 10 times already and each time it is cannot reproduce although they see it happening. The last incident was saturday, 12/14/12 when the setting on the dash changed by themselves and my trunk would not open with the ignition on. …”

NHTSA complaint #10489428, filed 2012-12, 3,000 miles

“Drove home, while attempting to park, (car was in motion) vehicle stalled & steering locked, lights on dash flicked off, radio went off then came back on. This happened 4 times while I attempted to park. Finally parked vehicle successfully & turned car off. This happened several times in recent months but only for a few seconds also on another occasion was unable to turn steering wheel once vehicle was on. Tonight was the worst experience, alarming. I plan to take SUV in for check up tomorrow.”

NHTSA complaint #11439123, filed 2021-11

“The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. While the vehicle was undergoing routine maintenance, the technician stated that the brake lights failed to illuminate. The technician stated that the failure occurred due to water leakage that caused an electrical shortage. The contact was made aware of NHTSA campaign number: 15v032000 (electrical system), however, the VIN was not associated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 33,200.”
