“The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and then turning off the vehicle and entering the residence, the contact then attempted to restart the vehicle, and the vehicle failed to restart. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact was unable to roll down the windows. The contact was assisted with jumpstarting the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced. …”
NHTSA complaint #11704093, filed 2025-12, 41,000 miles“Driver side rear door lock electrical actuator will not lock or unlock the door. Door has to be manually unlocked. In the event of an emergency, it will delay the egress of a passenger in the rear seat. The issue would make it near impossible to unlock the door in an emergency especially if it were submerged in water. This is a safety issue and has occurred on a number of these Nissan vehicles. The vehicle is available for inspection if requested.”
