While driving at a low speed, the contact noticed that the temperature gauge began to increase as the vehicle overheated. In addition, the steering wheel seized. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who diagnosed that the head gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 82,544.”

Upon entering the vehicle, the contact observed that the steering wheel was cracked and the air bag was ejected. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v287000 (air bags). The failure mileage was unknown.”
