“Recall number: 07v527000 my dealership states this does not exist for my 2006 Nissan Sentra with a 2.5l engine, and I'm having an issue with this exact same issue.”
NHTSA complaint #10368399, filed 2010-11, 83,753 miles“Vehicle air bag inflator. Called lynn layton Nissan dealership in decatur al. To schedule replacement of air bag inflator on 06/29/15 due to recall. Arrived on appt. Date at dealership on wed. 07/01/15 after 4 hour wait only to discover that part was not available and that they would notify me when part was available.”
NHTSA complaint #10731594, filed 2015-07, 196,000 miles“My wife skidded off a freshly graveled road and nose-dived into a ditch frontend first, catapulted the vehicle into a c/clockwise spin and wrapped the vehicle around a tree. The original impact was front end and no airbags deployed. The passenger side was completely crushed hitting the tree with what would appear as a side curtain airbag deployment. On investigation, it appears the air bag was torn out of the center wall (no propellant smell or residue). Had the air bags deployed there would not have been injuries that certainly would not have required med-a-vac. Jpc/sc .”
NHTSA complaint #10234857, filed 2008-07, 22,000 miles“The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Sentra. While driving 15 MPH, the gear shift indicator would not shift into second gear. The contact was unable to shift into reverse and heard a grinding noise when shifting. The dealer stated that the shifter was too tight and they loosened the shifter on two occasions; however, the failure continued. The dealer stated that the transmission shifter caused the failure. As of december 10, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 93 and current mileage was 12,998. Updated 01-14-08. …”
