“Backing out of a driveway my axel and ball joint. The control arm disconnected from my transmission. This caused damage to the side paneling in front my tire. The car wouldn't move even when put in neutral. When I go in reverse before this happened my car would putter and then die. The car will not reverse unless I put the car in neutral and roll out from where I am.”
NHTSA complaint #11354821, filed 2020-09, 139,000 miles“I currently own a 2008 Nissan Sentra. I have noticed that the rear of my car seems to slide out during winter weather. My tires also seem to wear quicker and my gas mileage is way below the mileage I should be getting. I had the alignment done twice when I first got the car back in 2008 but nothing changed and I just gave up. Recently I have read that many people have this issue but unfortunately my car is out of warranty.”
NHTSA complaint #10413947, filed 2011-07, 12,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the fuel tank would not hold more than two gallons at a time before clicking off and refusing to accept more fuel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three separate occasions. The fuel tank was replaced on the first occasion and the fuel lines were cleaned on the second occasion. The dealer offered no assistance on the third occasion. The manufacturer was notified and also offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.”

The consumer stated the fuel tank was replaced under warranty in april 2011. The problem resurfaced again in august 2011 where the tank would not take more than two gallons of gas. The dealer cleaned out the vent fuel line and replaced the fuel tank.”
NHTSA complaint #10430920, filed 2011-10“Consumer states that their 2008 Nissan Sentra is not getting the gas mileage as stated in the advertisements. The consumer stated from the time he drove the vehicle off the lot, he has never received more than 16-18 miles per gallon and he is presently getting 15 mpg. He was under the impression that the vehicle would get 25 mpg in city driving and 33 mpg highway driving on average.”
