“Huge fuel leak (car can catch fire and kill the people) I have huge fuel leak when the engine is running and happen without any notice and I was lucky that car didn't catch fire while driving (note that the vehicle is running only 6000 km that is meaning bad quality car from Nissan)”

NHTSA complaint #11128382, filed 2018-09, 3,800 miles

“I purchased my 2013 Nissan Sentra new from the dealership in march 2013. My transmission was completely replaced within 1.5 years (28k miles) from purchase due to manufacturer defect. The problem is reoccurring about 3.5 years (77k miles). Symptoms are similar to most reporting I've seen online. Acceleration delays, car sputters, metal on metal sounds. My car came to a complete at an intersection with oncoming traffic coming from both directions. …”

NHTSA complaint #11121725, filed 2018-08, 77,000 miles

“Not even 24hrs after purchasing the car, did my engine light come on. I then took the car to get the emissions test which failed twice. I was told the issue was the gas cap that was then replaced but the check engine light came on again and this time I was told this was due to a small leak in the evaporative system. Everytime I fill the tank up this light comes on and I get the message fuel cap loose but the cap has been replaced and tightened”

NHTSA complaint #10954851, filed 2017-02, 27,000 miles

“While driving on the interstate at about 75 MPH, the vehicle started losing acceleration and eventually stalled. We were in the left hand lane and luckily made it to the shoulder because we were going downhill. It was found to have a faulty fuel pump at 57,749 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #10850603, filed 2016-03, 57,749 miles

“The check engine light keeps coming on due to the same air flow problem. Every time car is scanned the code comes up as the mass air flow sensor. Since purchasing the car, I have replaced this sensor twice. I replaced the sensor on 7/8/19 approximately 4 weeks after purchasing the vehicle and then again on 10/10/18. Before replacing the part on oct. 10, I was merging onto the highway and my vehicle would not accelerate over 20 MPH. My car also idles, jerks when placed in park & has decreased fuel efficiency.”

NHTSA complaint #11268033, filed 2019-10, 115,299 miles
