“Driving down highway with nearest vehicle several hundred feet away when the sunroof glass appeared to have exploded . There was a very load noise followed by the sound of small pieces of glass sliding across the hood and trunk. Did not see any projectile (I.e. Stone) that might have hit the sunroof. The glass appears to have been blown out as opposed to an implosion due to being hit by a projectile.”

While exiting 95 south onto 528 east I was blinded by the early morning sun and automatically reached for my sunvisor. When I tried to pull it down it hit the rear view mirror and stopped in a position that blocked my entire forward view except for a few feet. I immediately pulled off the road to ascertain what had just happened. It was now that I discovered a dangerous flaw in the design of this mirror. …”
NHTSA complaint #10246706, filed 2008-10“The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Sentra. The driver stated that the bottom of the windshield was distorted. The dealer replaced the windshield with a slightly less distorted windshield. The manufacturer stated that the distortion was a normal characteristic of that particular style windshield. The current and failure mileages were less than 5,150.”
