“My 2006 Titan started vibrating like running over rumble strips on side of highway. Took straight to dealership. Was told that the cooling system split and contaminated the transmission. I had to have the transmission and radiator replaced $7313.56. There was no warning or anything. After reading many complaints for the same thing on other Nissan vehicles, there needs to be an investigation and a recall on the cooling system that can cause this amount of damage.”

NHTSA complaint #10472357, filed 2012-08, 84,000 miles

“The exhaust manifolds on my 2006 Nissan Titan have cracked, causing toxic exhaust fumes to leak into the passenger compartment. The truck has less than 100,000 miles. I believe this issue to be caused by faulty parts supplied by Nissan.”

NHTSA complaint #10369157, filed 2010-12, 85,000 miles

“Left and right side exhaust manifolds are cracked. They are normally covered under the emissions warranty of 8yr/80k miles. I am out of warranty by 4,000 miles. I put 4k miles every 3 months and I have heard the ticking noise when the vehicle is cold for over this time period. I contacted Nissan USA for loyal customer assistance and was denied. I filed an appeal and was denied within 2 hours. I have owned (3) nissans in the past 7 years and expect some compensation. This is a major problem on all titans 2004 to 2007. …”

NHTSA complaint #10456592, filed 2012-04, 84,093 miles

“I have a 2006 se Nissan Titan truck, my concern is I just found out from my local dealer that I have a exhaust manifold leak. The main reason for my concern is... How this came about was because I was and still am getting exhaust fumes into driver compartment which in return gives me headaches, and on two occasions caused serve dizziness. When I explained this to the dealer the said there was nothing they could do! I have two children who I drive to school, I don't need them getting sick from these fumes from which I experienced! I'm asking for some kind of help!”

NHTSA complaint #10450024, filed 2012-03, 107,000 miles

“My 06 Titan 4wd had just had repairs to the transmission done 2-3 days prior to the incident. My truck had been running in my driveway with the AC and radio going for some time while I was doing various cleaning and other stuff outside. I was sitting in the drivers seat cooling off with my eyes closed when my neighbor came running out screaming that my truck was on fire. When I looked at the hood flames were visible and smoke. She called the fire dept while I used the hose to extinguish the fire the best I could until the fire dept arrived. …”
