“Transmission shifting is abrasive particularly when coming to a stop. Vehicle lurches forward when transmission shifts from 2nd to 1st. Loss of control imminent when traveling on slick surfaces. I have brought this to the attention of my local dealership and was told there are no warning lights illuminated so the transmission is working correctly. They also stated that this is a common complaint with no remedy?”

NHTSA complaint #11627194, filed 2024-11

“The truck was parked on hill and as I unlocked it, it rolled down 2 blocks. Hit a brick wall and finally went into a yard and hit a parked car. This is the second time this truck has rolled down. First time, I was able to catch it but this time I couldn’t. It was horrific to witness.”

NHTSA complaint #11579422, filed 2024-03

“When coming to a stop, my truck will lurch forward and will pull through normal braking, requiring increased braking pedal force to avoid a front collision. This does not happen at every stop, but often enough to be extremly concerning. This has been occurring since I bought the truck new. Truck now has just under 5,000 miles on the odometer and has not improved. I need a solution as I cannot allow anyone in my family to drive my truck for fear of accident.”

NHTSA complaint #11682990, filed 2025-08

“(NHTSA Recall 22V-681): Affects 2020 - 2023 Titan ...trucks, Where the vehicle may not stay in park, increasing crash risk. Owners are advised to use the parking brake every time they park' I brought my Nissan Titan to Wallace Nissan in Stuart, Florida because I have had the Titan roll down my driveway when the parking pawl did not engage. I pulled into my driveway and placed the vehicle in park. As I checked to make certain I had necessary paperwork for an appointment I had with the Veterans Administration, the vehicle rolled back almost into the road. …”

NHTSA complaint #11718819, filed 2026-02

“While in PARK, my 2023 Nissan Titan inexplicably started rolling away as I was getting my mail from my mailbox. It traveled down my driveway, over a railroad tie border, deflected off of a tree, and eventually came to a stop when it became wedged under a pine tree. The wheels were turning. The vehicle was not sliding. There was snow and I recorded the impressions of the tire tread in the snow. Furthermore, when I got into the vehicle to back it out, the vehicle's shifter was still in PARK. I put it in reverse, backed it out from under the tree, and was able to drive it to my parking pad. …”
