“My 2019 Nissan Titan, with only 6500 miles, has twice failed to shift from lower gear when pulling away from a stoplight or stop sign causing me to have to pull out of traffic on a city street. Eventually, it shifted as normal. The electrical issue is more perplexing. Without having the ignition key in even remotely close proximity to, and with the vehicle stationary and not running, the vehicle radio begins playing.”

NHTSA complaint #11386926, filed 2021-01, 6,500 miles

“Truck has a shake between 45-75 MPH. Depends on rpms and tire pressure. Does not matter if it is highway or city. Most notable between 65-72mph. Have had it to the dealer 3 times. 1st time, they said it was the tires as there were new and overinflated. Told to drive it a few hundred miles. 2nd time at dealer, the road forced balanced and replaced a tire. No fix. 3rd time, a service tech actually rode with me. Let the vibrations, noted them as well. After we arrived back to the dealer, waited 20 minutes until the service tech came back. …”

NHTSA complaint #11283137, filed 2019-12, 10 miles

“Worst dealership my husband and I ever dealt with. We purchased a 2019 Nissan XD Titan Diesel with warranty. Two days after purchase, the check engine light came on. I called Spencer from the service department to let them know. They took the truck the very next day; it was some issue with the gas tank, so the part was back-ordered. After getting that fixed, the check engine light still never went off. I questioned the dealership; all they could say was it was probably a dirty sensor. …”

NHTSA complaint #11737834, filed 2026-05

“2019 Nissan Titan pro-4x while driving the truck, the battery voltage will drop below 12 volts (as low as 11.75 volts). When the voltage is low I've noticed that the transmission is constantly 'hunting' to find the right gear. Also the throttle control becomes 'sluggish'. When trying to lightly accelerate it will not gain speed until the transmission downshifts harshly. On a handful of occasions I've experienced an issue where I can push the accelerator pedal to the floor and it would not accelerate at all. …”

NHTSA complaint #11388634, filed 2021-01

“Vehicle has a fluttering or lagging feel/sound when accelerating, often taking longer to accelerate than it should. When merging on to a highway, this has become a danger to myself and others. This problem has been confirmed by Nissan in tens of thousands of Nissan Titans. More recently, my truck (only 47,000 miles) shifts into reverse but will not actually go into reverse, which is pointing to a transmission problem.”
