“Something wrong with fuel tank as it blew a hole outward from inside the tank like an exit wound from a shotgun shell. This caused the 26 gallons of gas to flow out of the tank and lost pressure. Spraying gas on the rear wheel and brake pads which could have ignited if sparked. …”

The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the “DEF System Error - See Dealer message was displayed with a countdown for reduced power. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the contact was informed that the fuel system error in the fuel pump system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 61,888.”
