“I have a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora, with a 4.0 l gas engine. The fuel rail started to leak and could have resulted in a fire. The cost of this repair was over $700.00. I feel general motors should contact all owners with vehicles that have this engine. They should check and repair all detective fuel rails before someone is killed or seriously injured.”

There is a recall in effect for this model and year for this problem. However Oldsmobile says my car is not covered under the recall. I had it fixed at the dealer for over $600 as gas was getting on the engine.”
NHTSA complaint #10081191, filed 2004-07, 100,000 miles“Fuel leak developed in my 95 Aurora. Fuel was spraying on the engine which caused strong odors in the garage and open air. It was fixed by a garage close to work. Then the fuel rail failed again, three months later in a different place, and was replaced by the dealer at my cost.”

NHTSA complaint #10067914, filed 2004-04, 192,520 miles“I have a 1995 olds aroura and I have had to have the fuel rails replaced ,the fuel rail keep spring leaks shooting fuel 10' in the air with the hood open.this was a costly repair and now GM is telling me that I am not part of the recall when taken to the dealership.this is insane the fuel rail was degrading and causing fuel to leak, what should I do put the old fuel back on and let it catch fire and then sue GM for not repairing the the problem.”
