“While driving, especially when the temp is under 40 degrees. I randomly get error with traction control off and reduced engine power. I have trouble accelerating and keeping speed. Which has been very dangerous to get to a safe spot on the expressway to pull off, when my speed suddenly changes. This has been happening for the last 3 years during the cold months and I have got items cleaned and sensors changed to no end.”
NHTSA complaint #11051521, filed 2017-11, 135,000 miles“My reduced engine power light came on. Used a snap on $5000 scanner. Codes say gas pedal sensor. Changed that problem still exists. Cleaned throttle case. Car stalls and I have to press gas pedal to the floor to get it to 20 miles an hour. There are so many blogs on this problem its unbelievable. I just had the recalls fixed on the ignition and head lights. Now this issue. Please help. Im single, homeless, and unemployed. This is the last thing I need right now.”

What I have researched at this time is that the base model 4t65e transaxle doesn't really differ in the hard parts for the 4t65e-hd thats in my Pontiac Grand Prix gxp. Bad jerking and slipping from take off or accelerating is my problem. Just this year my car couldn't accelerate over 40mph because of this problem. Anyone I talk to who has the same motor combination of the ls4 motor with the 4t65e-hd tranaxle has been dealing with the same similar issues. …”
NHTSA complaint #10873795, filed 2016-06, 104,000 miles“After traveling about 150 miles from macon, ga, in the morning of the 16th, the car shut down on I-75 in heavy traffic going 75 MPH in the passing lane. We had no engine power, power steering or brakes, but managed to coast to the shoulder. I was able to restart the car after a few minutes only to have it stall out after 10 or 15 miles. The only warning was 2 chimes from the car before total shut down. We did have flasher lights and were able to restart the car each time. This happened about 6 or 8 times. …”
NHTSA complaint #10705175, filed 2015-04, 108,300 miles“The first incident happened while driving the car it just stopped after I made a turn and read disabled due to electronic throttle body. After a few moments it just restarted. The lights and everything still work the car will just not crank back up until after a few moments. This has happened approximately 7 times. I take the key out and wait for about 3 to 4 minutes and then the car will start back up like nothing has happened. I have taken it to a few mechanics, and they were not able to pull any codes, and basically told me to take it to the dealer. …”
