“On at 3 separate occasions, I have had the accelerator get stuck on what I believe is full throttle. Initially I thought it might be my floor mat, however it happened yesterday in a parking lot. So there was no reason for the peddle to get involved with the floor mat. I was accelerating, but obviously not to full throttle”

NHTSA complaint #11306483, filed 2020-02, 41,000 miles

“When pulling out onto a busy intersection you push the pedal down and the vehicle stumbles or completely doesn't react. It has caused me to almost be involved in a side collision because I couldn't get power to cross a lane of traffic. I called dealer and they say its a common thing that happens and there is currently no fix. They are calling it dead pedal Ram has to have a fix for this. After researching online I have heard a EGR delete and tune will fix the issue. Egr delete is illegal in my state and I do not want to modify my vehicle from factory specs. …”

NHTSA complaint #11397683, filed 2021-02, 108,520 miles

“Grid Heater bolt failure. Grid heater bolt is secured by a nut below intake area. The nut on bolt melts and causes pieces and shards into cylinder #6 if not fixed immediately. This is a terrible design and expensive fix. I am 3rd person to have this problem recently amongst my friends. Metal in side motors should not be melting and or rotting into cylinders. Please see attached pictures showing melted bolt and shards in the intake area. If this is a part that needs maintenance it should be listed in the scheduled maintenance somewhere”

NHTSA complaint #11643203, filed 2025-02

“The check engine light came on and I took the vehicle to the Ram service center. The tech said the turbo actuator caused the light to go on. He reset the computer and said to bring the vehicle back if it comes on again. About 1 month later it reappeared. The Ram service said the turbo charger actuator needed replacing (the complete turbocharger). They said the failure could result in a total loss of power or engine failure. I tow a 10,000 lb trailer and an engine failure on the road could result in an accident or injury due to no power from the engine. The part can be viewed for inspection.”

NHTSA complaint #11674080, filed 2025-07

“My truck will lose all throttle response and brakes harder to stop accompanied by a service electronic brake system, service electronic throttle control, and electronic traction control warning. It only happens intermittently and sometimes will go a few weeks before doing it again. (The date below for incident is latest date it happened)”
