“Turning on the left turn signal causes the headlights to switch from low beams to high beams. It doesn't happen every time. I've taken it to the dealership but it doesn't happen while it's there so they don't take me seriously and, in my opinion, don't thoroughly investigate the problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11557659, filed 2023-11“It appears that there is a problem with the bright-lights and turn signal. When I turn on the left blinker my bright lights come on. When the turn is complete the bright lights go out. This happens during the day and night. During the day when I flash my bright lights the left turn signal comes on. Dodge forums has a lot of complaints about this with no fix. There are no warning lamps or errors showing. This happens daily and all the time.”
NHTSA complaint #11544637, filed 2023-09“Headlight high beams turn on with left turn signal, also when actuating the high beams it turns on the left turn signal. You can not signal left without blinding other traffic with the high beams. No service lamps, happened since I bought the truck new. Ram has failed to service the vehicle and fix the issue. 3 trips to the dealer and 2 conversations with ram cares.”
NHTSA complaint #11539516, filed 2023-08“Vehicle was previously serviced under NHTSA Campaign 23V799000 (FCA Recall B2A/D5A) for the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM). The remedy has failed. The multifunction stalk continues to exhibit the exact defect: high beams inadvertently activate when using turn signals, and the self-canceling feature fails. The software flash did not resolve the issue, and the physical module has not been replaced, creating an active nighttime driving hazard.”
NHTSA complaint #11766883, filed 2026-09“Randomly, when powering up the vehicle, the instrument cluster emits a very bright light on the left side only. This light cannot be dimmed or turned off with the lighting controls. As a result, driving at night is dangerous with a bright light stuck on directly in front the driver. Normal functionality is for a dim accent light to show on both sides of the dash (and is controllable via a dimmer). When the problem occurs, I'm forced to drive with less than ideal visibility. Please review attached photos.”
