“While driving I get a return for service and all my dash lights and rear view mirror goes blank with light flashing and aural warning. Have taken to dealer and they replace backup camera, simplest fix for them, then it did it again when I picked up and continues to do while driving home. I have not driven in over 4 months waiting on parts which Ram says are not available.”
NHTSA complaint #11587922, filed 2024-05“Soft close tailgate opened as I was backing up to hook up to my pontoon trailer. I had closed it prior to backing up. Because the tailgate was down, the rear camera did not correctly identify how close I was to the pontoon trailer hitch and the lowered tailgate struck the pontoon trailer hitch, damaging the tailgate.”
NHTSA complaint #11599221, filed 2024-07“When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, regardless of brightness settings, the back up camera becomes incredibly bright with no way to adjust. The problem being that when in dark/night time conditions and backing up a trailer, the back up camera screen has to be covered in order to see out of the vehicle to safely back up. No incident has occurred currently.”
NHTSA complaint #11540704, filed 2023-08“The persistent 'App Market' notification/icon creates a visual distraction and obscures critical driving data in the status bar. I request that this be documented as a product complaint for the Uconnect development team to allow users to disable non-essential marketing overlays.”
