“I have dead pedal going on with my truck and when pulling out into traffic and truck does not go almost get hit by oncoming traffic and cause an accident and could end up deadly when the truck just losses the possibility to be limited to truck not being able to accelerate because it is having issues with the computer communicating with the sensor on the truck.”
NHTSA complaint #11759573, filed 2026-08“While driving at 25mph in 4H, I heard what sounded like television static instead of the music I'd been playing with Carplay. Moments later my dashboard indicators flashed wildly and randomly. Within a few seconds, smoke was billowing out of the hood and fire was visible in the engine bay. The entire vehicle eventually burned down.”
NHTSA complaint #11512034, filed 2023-03“My vehicle was brought to my dealership for service on December 13, 2024, and again on January 13, 2026, due to a recurring Uconnect software/application failure. The system repeatedly displayed the message: “Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer.” Over time this message continuously reappears while driving even after acknowledging the message earlier. This message would overlay critical driving information such as navigation, engine status, and trailer towing data. …”
NHTSA complaint #11756715, filed 2026-08“We own a RAM 2500 truck with an Integrate Brake Controller that is used to activate the trailer brakes on our 10,000+ lb 5th wheel RV. On our last rv trip, the Brake Controller test was not producing the necessary braking function on the trailer (putting more stress upon the trucks braking system). We became acutely aware of this as we attempted to stop on a downhill grade (highway exit ramp) where the traffic control switched to Red. We were barely able to stop in time, which had not happed in the past. …”
NHTSA complaint #11649906, filed 2025-03“My truck was started in the morning and as it sat idle in the driveway I started attaching my trailer. By the time I got the trailer attached(20 seconds) there was smoke pouring out from under the hood. I immediately turned off the truck popped the hood and it was engulfed in flames. I was able to put out the fire with the garden hose. No check engine lights, no warning lights on dash, and I had just got it back from the dealership 2 days earlier and it passed a safety inspection before I picked it up. Im not sure what component failed but whatever did caused a fire”
