“My screen on my truck went out and had to be reset manually, next my heated steering wheel stopped working. The problem is the cool spring in my steering wheel. Upon research there is a common problem with this said coil spring. This can cause multiple problems including loss of air bag function and front end collision indicator which comes on time to time saying it’s disabled due to this same said coil. Why this is not a recall and the owner’s responsibility is unknown. There is also no indicator telling you if the airbag may or may not deploy when need from this issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11698071, filed 2025-11“The abs and traction control Lights keep coming on making the safety systems unavailable. This has happened 5 times, they clear when stopped but come on again. I am driving in snowy conditions and am in danger. This was scanned By one dealer and they said sometimes the sensor malfunctions and it reset and it was fixed - it kept happening on a cross country trip.”
NHTSA complaint #11499120, filed 2022-12“This vehicle is 3 years old and has 29k miles driven. The forward collision avoidance system stopped working and can no longer be turned on. This installed safety feature is no longer usable and is a risk to passengers in the event of a road Hazzard situation presents itself. The system failed without warning. The vehicle was taken into the dealer for inspection and the dealer confirmed that the Drivers Assistance System Module (DASM) has failed and requires replacement.”
NHTSA complaint #11685133, filed 2025-09“The camera that controls the entire ADAS system randomly goes out or loses its calibration. This is so common the part is back ordered with no expected delivery date.”
