“The 3rd brake light leaks water into the cab and the water pools up on the floor where electrical modules are located. Which could potentially cause an electrical short and mold forming on and under the carpet liner. This problem has been talked about online on numerous Ram trucks starting around 2012.”

NHTSA complaint #11461245, filed 2022-04

“The traction control/service abs system on dash came on following the loss of vehicle cruise control while driving on busy 3 lane of traffic during hill climb causing instant loss of vehicle speed. Was last told by local mopar dealer no parts available, no idea when available. Vehicle had no cruise or traction control. Only 39,000 miles on vehicle currently. Independent service center pulled code C0020-01 abs pump motor control- general electrical failure. From ECU”

NHTSA complaint #11572456, filed 2024-02

“Recently the radio and display system in the vehicle stopped working properly. It was basically ghosting all commands. It could not be controlled by knobs, touch screen or voice command. the dealer stated that the screen delaminated and was causing the issue. This is a safety concern because the radio was calling 911 randomly and I was unable to stop it, it was turn on and off features in the vehicle. It's very dangerous. there is a wide know problem for these delaminating screens and this should be recalled and fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #11702453, filed 2025-12

“The radio screen has delaminating which causes random pushing of buttons on the display. This is a known issue with dodge radios and has been labeled as “ghost screen”. This is a major concern during the day as well at night while trying to drive. The distraction from the constant screen changing is a major concern. It is unavoidable to focus on the screen instead of the road while this is happening. Dodge knows of this problem and the repair cost is unaffordable. I feel for the safety of drivers and people on the road, this needs to be addressed. …”
