“Takata recall I woke up to my vehicle on fire and it had been off for over 8 hours. It had been parked in my driveway all night. We heard a bang from inside then out neighbor banged on our door a minute later saying my vehicle was on fire. We called 911 and they had to come and put it out.”
NHTSA complaint #11242046, filed 2019-08, 180,000 miles“Power door locks function intermittently. Sometimes they all lock/unlock, sometimes no doors lock/unlock, sometimes certain doors lock/unlock. Sometimes the windows operate very slowly as well. I have only used the locks when the vehicle is stationary, but I have noticed the window problem when both moving and stationary. This has been an issue for over a year, I can't pinpoint the exact time it first happened, but it is an ongoing issue.”
NHTSA complaint #10889180, filed 2016-07, 100,000 miles“For the past two year I have been getting intermediate false fuel readings. The gauge would read empty or close to it. One time it stated I had more gas then I really did, causing me to run out of gas on the freeway. As time went on, the issue became more frequent. It is becoming a dangerous issue.”
NHTSA complaint #10468479, filed 2012-07, 30,000 miles“Driver side window/door panel started smoking. Burned a whole through the unit. Window and door controls do not work. The sideview mirror control rolled down the window and now the entire unit does not work. Electrical smell throughout the car.”
