“I have a 2007 Saturn ION 3. Before the ignition recall my ignition stopped working (the car would not turn off) and I had the ignition replaced by GM. Once the recall was announced, GM reimbursed me for the repair. Now, my ignition is not turning off easily ~5% of the time (trying to park on my relatively flat driveway). I need to get it repaired; is a second ignition covered by the recall?”
NHTSA complaint #11387154, filed 2021-01, 202,000 miles“When I turn the vehicle off, the key sometimes will not come out of the ignition. I have to keep turning the car on and off. Sometimes I have to move the steering wheel up and down. It will finally come out. I am noticing it happening more often though. Need to have it fixed because this is my teen sons first car. Not sure he will know exactly what to do if out alone with it.”
NHTSA complaint #11220337, filed 2019-06, 135,000 miles“I have to have the electrical computer replaced - the car drops to 1st gear and doesn't move up, the door locks lock then unlock and continue to do that, the engine light comes on, the power steering alarm comes on (but I don't lose power steering) and the speedometer stops working! This happens while driving with no notice except the door locks start first them the other issues happen simultaneously.”
NHTSA complaint #10822333, filed 2016-01, 126,000 miles“Had vehicle taken in for ignition switch recall per notice. After repairs for which my vehicle was in shop for almost 30 days, I was given vehicle back. After 2 weeks the ignition switch would still stick and not allow for the key to be returned to the off switch after several tries. I just have dealt with this for awhile now, but not it is becoming more of an issue and I feel the recall parts are not working.”
NHTSA complaint #10722812, filed 2015-06, 86,250 miles“Ever since I purchased this vehicle in october I've been having trouble & its only january I've had a fuel leak and had to replace it I've had bad struts had to replace it bad alternator replaced it bad battery replaced it bad brakes & rotors & I replaced it. It's just a horrible car and I wish I had spent my money else where is it possible that I trade in this car for something the same value I am very unsatisfied with this car.”
