“It is difficult to get the key out of the ignition. I have to turn the wheel all the way to the right, then 1 turn to the left. I have already had recall 14063 and 14113 performed on my car. I told the mechanic about it, and it worked correctly for a couple of weeks then went back to not letting me get the key out of the ignition unless the steering wheel is turned a certain way. This happens when I am try to leave after I park.”
NHTSA complaint #10874183, filed 2016-06, 70,000 miles“Over the last three to four years my power steering has went out my front passenger tire has almost fallen off twice I had to have it fixed my car don't want to start after I fill it up it's sputters every time and I've had literally had to get cut out of my seatbelt because it would not unlatch and mikey don't want to come out of the ignition have the time. The power steering went out while driving the tire almost fell off while driving and of course I'm stopped when I'm fueling and I was stopped when I was stuck in my seatbelt and stopped every time I try to take my key out”
NHTSA complaint #11045315, filed 2017-11, 77,000 miles“I have had intermittent issues with my passenger airbag light coming on and off. My vehicle has about 65,000 miles on it and I do not feel safe driving it with passengers. My gas cap light is on and off as well, and now, water is pooling on the floor for no reason after a dealer looked at my car. I have reported my airbag case to GM, as well as to the NHTSA hotline. I feel like airbag issues should be covered in all vehicles, particularly if there is no evidence of a crash. I do not have an airbag on/off switch, so I have no way to turn it on/off. …”
NHTSA complaint #10779616, filed 2015-10, 65,000 miles“On 10/13/14 recall for power steering assist Freeland Chevrolet performed work. 3/10/17 Shift solenoid has short circuit Freeland preformed work. 6/10/22 The key gets stuck in ignition like the above 2 times and I can't get out of my car until I sit and wait for it to finally click to get my key out. I am 70 years old and it gets very hot trapped in my car from this problem that hasn't been corrected. I contacted GMAC to no avail. I only have 56,185 miles on this car.”
NHTSA complaint #11477259, filed 2022-08“Previous recall was for ignition, I'm still having problems since it was supposing fixed. The ignition will not release my key, this has been happening for a few months now. I have to sit and wait for several clicks b4 I can take my key out. Now it will hold my key and not release as it will lock the doors and won't allow me to put the car in gear. So I'm literally trapped inside. I have to wait several minutes b4 the ignition will release the key as well as allow me to unlock the door to get out. For now this is only occurring when I am sitting still. …”
