“The sensor in the passenger seat no longer works! Sensor light is continuous on! My car is gently used w/under 20,000 miles on it! It is a safety hazard I feel the manufacturer is responsible for. The problem started 06/14 but your calendar wouldn't accept the date.”

NHTSA complaint #10852539, filed 2016-03, 14,000 miles

“After a GM ignition recall on Saturn SKY--we received notice and took our car to the GM shop to do the work. However now the airbag warning light stays on---we did much research and replaced the passenger side seat cushion and sensor-----this did not result in the airbag warning light going off--we took it to the GM dealer to do a diagnostic to see why the seat/sensor replacement did not fix the problem and they state the seat is properly installed and it is not causing the airbag warning light issue---but they did not tell us what was the diagnosed problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #10873779, filed 2016-06, 75,000 miles

“Driving 35 miles an hour I noticed passenger side airbag warning light appeared on dash, when I took car to GM dealer they said it would cost 900 dollars to replace.”

NHTSA complaint #10616519, filed 2014-07, 41,000 miles

“Passenger presence module is loose or not functioning properly which means the airbag may deploy during or not when there's an accident! Warning light comes on to check passenger airbag module. Had estimates to cost me over $1000 the car is in great condition and wasn't ever wrecked! It just stopped working without a cause. It's 10 years old, garage kept and only has 43,200 miles on it. …”

NHTSA complaint #10940338, filed 2017-01, 28,322 miles

“Airbag need servicing light is always on, can't read mileage. The seat belt, or seat light stays on. These things are on at all times, starting, stopping, and driving. I'm not sure what will happen with the airbag service light, will the airbag blow at anytime or what.”
