“When putting vehicle into reverse I hear a loud clunk and the r on the dashboard is all jumbled. When I put it into d there also is a loud clink . The car accelerates real slow/hard. Does not shift out of first gear. I have had it checked and the code that comes up is p0705 - failed transmission range sensor. Have not been able to find anyone that will/can replace it due to the fact that they are having a hard time finding the part. Can someone give me some guidance on this. Very frustrated as this has been going on now for approximately 10 months. …”

He was able to safely slow down the vehicle and pull to the shoulder. He observed a small amount of smoke emanating from his vehicle. Upon exiting the vehicle and opening the hood, he saw more smoke and flames between the engine and firewall. He advised his passenger to exit the vehicle.”
