Given the faulty spiral cable assembly as the cause of the horn failure and the apparent cause of the airbag malfunction, this faulty part raises two serious safety issues: no horn, potentially explosive airbag. Following the dealer service, we filed a concern with Toyota on sept 5, 2017. Toyota customer service insisted on sept. …”
NHTSA complaint #11022925, filed 2017-09, 133,000 miles“The paint on the outside of my 2011 Toyota 4Runner has recently been peeling significantly in various areas of the car, including the roof, the door below the window, and the front driver side panel. These areas are prone to rust, and many inhibit the safety of the car due to rust. Due to living near the ocean (within a mile), the salty air may increase the rust due to the paint peeling in various and significant areas of the car.”
