“This recall is a major safety issue where a seat could come free from vehicle in the event of a collisison - this van is a shuttle van for my company- I need a resolution as I am unable to use this vehicle until this safety recall is remedied- I could be held liable in the event that I use this vehicle and something happens- please advise of a solution”

NHTSA complaint #11740474, filed 2026-05

“We were notified of a safety recall in mid December but they officially released the recall in early October. I have contacted Toyota multiple times with no update. Our dealer has not been able to provide a car with the same amount of seats as our Toyota Sienna. We have been limited to a 5 seat vehicle when we purchased a 7 row seat vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11713595, filed 2026-01

“We purchased a brand-new Toyota Sienna Hybrid in April 2025 and were informed in October 2025 that there was a safety recall on the vehicle involving the rear seats and that we cannot drive the van with our kids in the back seat. This rendered the van unusable for us. We have been told on several occasions that that there currently is no remedy for this safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11718749, filed 2026-02

“No specific incident occurred. This recall has been active for almost 7 months. I am uncomfortable putting my newborn in the middle rows of seats that are affected and my wife has a medical condition where putting our newborn in the back row is difficult. We are only using our other vehicle at this time until the recall is fixed. 7 months without remedy is unacceptable.”

NHTSA complaint #11733858, filed 2026-04

“There is a safety recall on my car (second row seats not welded correctly) that has not been fixed in a timely fashion, resulting in me not being able to use my car for over four months. There is no information from the manufacturer regarding when a fix will be available. This recall puts my children who sit in the second row seats at danger and I am thus unable to use my car.”
