“In a left cloverleaf turn, approximately 40 MPH, the stability control system seemed to apply the front brakes, causing the truck to slide uncontrollably to the right. Since then, this has happened numerous times, in both directions, at speeds between 15 and approximately 50 MPH.”

The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH around a curve, the ABS engaged without the brakes being depressed. The electronic stability control warning indicator illuminated with a chime and then turned off. The failure recurred nine times. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 19,000. The VIN was unavailable.”
