“Upon closing convertible top while stationary on the shoulder of a divided roadway, driver's window jammed halfway and became inoperable. Vw dealer and vw regional office confirmed that this was a known manufacturing defect in window regulators, affecting ability to see properly out of vehicle. Vw personnel said they had actually extended a warranty because of this known defect -- providing 100,000 miles of coverage. …”
