“I bought this car new from my local vw dealer. At approximately 48,300 miles - adblue system throws a code. Code p205c meaning the ad blue heater is non functional. This part is connected with the emissions since it is suppose to reduce the nox emitted. I feel this is connected with the emission system and should fall under the emission warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #10882757, filed 2016-07, 48,500 miles

“2013 vw Passat 89000 miles fuel pump broke sending metal through system $6500.00 to fix. I see this happens a lot on internet. This is covered for veh up to 2012. If this is still happening why don't they cover 2013 or change fuel pumps. Being a 100% disabled vet. I don't have the $6500.00 to fix it. Surely you have heard of this before. Driving on city street stopped at stop sign.”

NHTSA complaint #10945702, filed 2017-01, 89,000 miles

“My vehicle for some reason is not under the recall for all other models with same defect. I have a intake manifold malfunction that was recalled on all cc's of my year and prior but for some reason my model wasn't covered and should be.”

NHTSA complaint #11281096, filed 2019-11, 70,000 miles

“I have the turbo diesel version. I was driving on hwy 695 in baltimore, maryland during rush hour (0800ish) when I began to accelerate only to lose power. The car had just enough power to get me off the road and become stranded on the side of this major highway for 80+ minutes. Dealership reported failed turbo. This was not a pleasant experience and one that I hope others do not have to experience.”

NHTSA complaint #10565213, filed 2014-02, 22,000 miles

“On my 2013 vw Passat tdi, the glow plug light started to flash when driving car on 40mph road, the vehicle lost power (went into limp mode), but was able to get the vehicle home. Fault codes pulled were p0087(fuel rail / system pressure low). Later diagnosed as a failed high pressure fuel pump. After some quick research, I found this was a common problem among vw common rail tdi engines. (this will be a $5000 - $7000 dealer repair)”
