“I was driving down the highway when there was a loud boom in my car that sounded like a gunshot. Glass then came down on and around me in my car. I pulled over as quickly as possible. It looks like the glass from my sunroof came up and out of my car. It did not appear as if anything hit it. There is a large gaping hole in my sunroof.”

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician diagnosed that the sun roof lines needed to be cleaned. The vehicle was repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 34,500 and the current mileage was 34,900. Updated 06/24/14 updated 06/25/2014”
